Basketball Recap: Cairo Syrupmakers vs. Thomasville Bulldogs

Cairo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 52-35 bruising from the Thomasville Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Syrupmakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-25 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Harmony Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds for Thomasville. With that strong performance, Bryant is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jaleah Brown, who posted nine points in addition to six rebounds and five steals.

Cairo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Thomasville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
