Football Recap: Smiths Station Comes Up Short Despite Natalie Dozier's Big Defensive Game

Smiths Station fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Montgomery Catholic on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 31-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this contest were averaging 9.5 points allowed.

Although Smiths Station took the loss, they still got scores from Kennedi Treadwell, Lynzie Mounce, Brooke Norred, and Reagan Thomas.

Even if they lost, Smiths Station's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Natalie Dozier with two.
