St. Mark faced Odessa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans took down the Ducks 31-15. The win was familiar territory for the Spartans, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Several Ducks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Zakie Williams, who picked up 244 receiving yards and one touchdown. Williams really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 73 yards. Cooper Curran was another key player, having thrown for 362 yards and two touchdowns.

St. Mark's now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Odessa, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
