Football Recap: Woodlan Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Noble last Friday, Woodlan came back down to earth. The Warriors came up short against the Heritage Patriots on Friday, falling 42-21. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lucas Weber went supernova For Heritage., rushing for 186 yards and three scores while picking up 11.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 35 receiving yards. Weber's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Another back making a difference was Jake Krauss, who rushed for 92 yards and three TDs.

Woodlan now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Heritage, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Woodlan will square off against rival Bluffton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Heritage is set to take on their familiar foe South Adams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
