Softball Recap: Hermiston Comes Up Short

Hermiston's last matchup with Southridge could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Suns, falling 11-5. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 9-7 to the Suns when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hermiston saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addyson Davis, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Kenley Venoy was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

This is the second loss in a row for Hermiston and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Southridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hermiston beat the Suns by a score of 20-4 later that day.
