Basketball Recap: Cherokee Finds Playoff Glory Versus East Coweta

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cherokee walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the East Coweta Indians 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted since December 7, 2024.

Several Indians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Harper Rife, who went 5-for-8 en route to 18 points. The dominant performance also gave Rife a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (71%). Another player making a difference was Cam Green, who posted nine points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Cherokee and bumps their season record up to 19-11. As for East Coweta, their loss dropped their record down to 18-11.

Looking ahead, Cherokee will square off against Grayson on Wednesday. Grayson will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Cherokee surely won't give up without a fight. East Coweta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
