Basketball Recap: Chalmette Takes a Loss

Chalmette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-25 loss at the hands of the Northshore Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Panthers are ranked 18th).

Chalmette's defeat dropped their record down to 8-24. As for Northshore, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chalmette will square off against Fontainebleau at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Northshore, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
