Basketball Game Preview: Pentwater Falcons vs. Bear Lake Lakers

The Pentwater Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Bear Lake Lakers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pentwater is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Pentwater duked it out withMarion on Friday. Pentwater narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Marion 53-50.

Meanwhile, Bear Lake came up short against St. Mary on Friday and fell 51-41.

Pentwater will need focus on slowing down Grady Harless, one of several Bear Lake players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 15 points. The contest was Harless' sixth in a row with at least ten points.

Pentwater is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Bear Lake, they dropped their record down to 8-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Pentwater was able to grind out a solid win over Bear Lake in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 79-66. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Harless, who went 12 for 21 en route to 32 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Pentwater still be able to contain Harless? There's only one way to find out.
