Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe vs. Pensacola Catholic

The Santa Fe Raiders will take on the Pensacola Catholic Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pensacola Catholic took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Santa Fe, who comes in off a win.

Santa Fe is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Eastside a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Raiders have won by exactly two goals.

Haidyn Smith and Brooke Hendrickson scored both of Santa Fe's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Pensacola Catholic was a bit more limited in their contest last Thursday. They fell just short of South Walton by a score of 1-0. The loss put an end to the Crusaders' undefeated start to the season.

The win made it two in a row for Santa Fe and bumps their season record up to 5-11. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two games. As for Pensacola Catholic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1-1.
