Marist entered their tilt with Lithonia on Tuesday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The War Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Marist was: they took both sets by at least 21 points. The final score came out to 25-1, 25-4.

Marist was led to victory by Sawyer Straley and Claire Schepp. Straley had seven aces, while Schepp had seven aces. Those seven aces gave Straley a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Marist was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 24 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Marist's record now sits at 16-3. As for Lithonia, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Coincidentally, Marist and Lithonia will both be playing Clarkston the next time they take the court. The War Eagles will head out to face the Angoras at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
