Volleyball Recap: Hemphill Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against San Augustine on Friday, Hemphill came back down to earth. The Hornets came up short against the Groveton Indians on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-11, 25-17.

Hemphill's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Groveton, the victory was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 18-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Hemphill will square off against rival Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Groveton is set to take on their familiar foe Corrigan-Camden at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
