Volleyball Recap: Owyhee Takes a Loss

Owyhee entered their matchup against Eureka on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Braves came up short against the Vandals, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Braves seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

While Owyhee was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Eureka's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-17, 25-20.

Owyhee's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Eureka, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Owyhee will challenge rival Lund at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Eureka is set to square off against their familiar foe Carlin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
