Newton-Conover waltzed into their game on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came out on top against the East Lincoln Mustangs by a score of 2-0. Newton-Conover found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Fernando Martinez-Munoz and Ben Loy were both handed yellow cards.

Zach Schweighardt and D'Alessandro Chavez-Hernandez scored both of Newton-Conover's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.

Newton-Conover's victory bumped their record up to 11-1. As for East Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
