Basketball Recap: Rockridge Takes a Loss

Rockridge has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 60-44 bruising from the Rock Island Rocks on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Rocks are ranked 22nd).

Rockridge's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Rock Island, they pushed their record up to 23-4 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home.

Coming up, Rockridge will face off against Orion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rock Island, they are taking a road trip to take on East Moline United at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
