Lone Peak had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Syracuse Titans on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won nine matchups in a row dating back to last season.

Lone Peak had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-21.

Ava Burgess paced Lone Peak's offense, picking up 17 kills. Burgess got some help from Nevaeh Tien and her 22 assists. Lauren Adams controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Peak will welcome Bountiful at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Syracuse, they will square off against Woods Cross at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
