Basketball Recap: Cross County Cougars vs. Central City Bison
Cross County lost to Central City two weeks ago, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cross County Cougars came out on top in a nail-biter against the Central City Bison, sneaking past 31-29. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars who have now won three matchups in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cross County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eden Peterson, who posted 12 points. Adrienne Waller was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.
Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hope Paup, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 11 points. Paup is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Journi Schindler, who put up five points along with eight boards and four steals.

Cross County's victory was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.
