Basketball Game Preview: Peninsula Catholic Knights vs. Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks

Peninsula Catholic hasn't had much luck against Norfolk Collegiate recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Peninsula Catholic Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Norfolk Collegiate Mighty Oaks at 5:30 p.m.

Peninsula Catholic is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 24th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Denbigh Baptist Christian, falling 35-13. The Knights were down 30-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Collegiate humbled Hickory with a 52-23 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mighty Oaks.

Norfolk Collegiate's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Peninsula Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Peninsula Catholic was taken down by Norfolk Collegiate 65-24 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Peninsula Catholic avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
