Volleyball Recap: Snow Canyon Falls Despite Big Games from Tali Tupe and Carleigh Spafford

Snow Canyon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Dixie Flyers. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Flyers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Snow Canyon was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Dixie work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23.

Snow Canyon's loss came despite strong showings from Carleigh Spafford and Tali Tupe. Spafford had ten digs and two assists, while Tupe had 14 kills and 11 digs. Tupe is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season.

Jaselle Mills was nothing short of spectacular for Dixie: she had 19 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Mills has posted since back in August of 2024.

Snow Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Dixie, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Snow Canyon is taking a road trip to square off against Hurricane at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dixie, they will host Parowan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
