Softball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Crestview

Crestview came tearing into Monday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the South Central Trojans. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kalee Hamman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, PJ Endicott was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Hillman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Crestview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 11 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Crestview pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for South Central, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Crestview beat the Trojans by a score of 11-1 on Tuesday.
