Baseball Recap: Sebring Picks Up Seventh Straight Win on the Road

Sebring won against Lake Placid last Tuesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Sebring never let the Lake Wales Highlanders get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The Blue Streaks haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Brody Hall's shutout, as he gave up just six hits.

At the plate, Sebring's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Todd, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sebring pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Wales, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Sebring will square off against John Carroll Catholic at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lake Wales, they will face off against Avon Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Avon Park will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
