Basketball Recap: King George Foxes vs. Caroline Cavaliers
The King George Foxes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Caroline by a score of 65-62. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat King George has suffered since November 27, 2023.
Several Foxes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Trulow, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trulow has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aiden Wright, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
King George has traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-14 record this season. As for Caroline, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King George will take on the Yellow Jackets at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. James Monroe has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,354 points over their last 18 matches. As for Caroline, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Chancellor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
