Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Christian Takes a Loss

After flying high against Coventry Christian last Monday, New Covenant Christian came back down to earth. The Flames came up short against the Holy Redeemer Royals on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-13, 25-12.

Nathan Barnhart paced New Covenant Christian's offense, picking up four kills. Barnhart got some help from Zachary Worley and his 11 assists. Finally, Adrian Groff kept New Covenant Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

New Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Holy Redeemer, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Covenant Christian will challenge Linville Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holy Redeemer, they will host Pocono Mountain West at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
