Volleyball Recap: Thatcher Eagles vs. Snowflake Lobos
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Thatcher can now relate to. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Snowflake Lobos on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Lobos this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in October.
Thatcher started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-17, 25-11, 25-20.
Makenzi Lunt paced Thatcher's offense, picking up eight kills. Lunt got some help from Alli Johnson and her 13 assists. Jocelyn Lunt controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Snowflake found their leader in sophomore Lucy Lyman, who had 17 digs and seven assists.
