Recap: New Town vs. Eastern Tech Mavericks
New Town have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 24 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Eastern Tech 64-25 at home. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Town.
New Town's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nialah Mingo, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasia Hart, who scored 16 points.
New Town's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Eastern Tech, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
New Town will head out on the road to face off against Catonsville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eastern Tech, they will be playing at home against Chesapeake at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chesapeake is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
