Softball Recap: Aragon Wins Going Away Against Carlmont

Aragon made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Carlmont, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Aragon Dons were the clear victor by a 14-3 margin over the Carlmont Scots on Thursday. With that win, the Dons brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Makayla Hafoka looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Taylor Workman was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Destiny Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Aragon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Aragon and bumps their season record up to 5-6. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11 runs. As for Carlmont, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Aragon will head out to square off against Mills at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mills is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Carlmont, they will welcome Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Notre Dame will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Carlmont surely won't give up without a fight.
