Softball Recap: West Point Warriors vs. Russellville Golden Tigers

West Point fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Russellville on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Tigers by a score of 6-5. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-2 loss on April 9th.

Kortni Baker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 20 consecutive appearances.
