Mechanicsville has gone a perfect 8-0 against Freeman recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mustangs will look to defend their home field against the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. Mechanicsville hasn't scored more than two runs for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Mechanicsville came up short against King George on Monday, falling 9-1.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Freeman's offense. They lost 11-0 to Louisa County on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Mavericks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Freeman now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Mechanicsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Mechanicsville took their victory against Freeman when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Mavericks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
