Baseball Recap: Academy for Academic Excellence Comes Up Short

Academy for Academic Excellence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the University Prep Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 last Tuesday.

Academy for Academic Excellence saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron Walker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Conner Clancy also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Academy for Academic Excellence's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for University Prep, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy for Academic Excellence will welcome Barstow at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for University Prep, they will face off against Vasquez at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. University Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.
