Baseball Recap: Battle Takes a Loss

Battle lost against Jefferson City last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans came up short against the Jays, falling 16-1. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Battle has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Jefferson City, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Coming up, Battle will square off against Hickman at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson City, they will take on Warrensburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
