Softball Recap: West Nassau Gets the Win

West Nassau lost to University Christian back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Christians 4-3. Surprisingly, this marked the Warriors' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Kelsea Bass spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rylie Turner, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Lauren Rosepiler also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

West Nassau's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for University Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 15-4 record.

West Nassau wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 1-0 loss against Matanzas on the 22nd. As for University Christian, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against St. Johns Country Day on the 22nd.
