            Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Silver Foxes vs. El Paso Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Jefferson lost against El Paso back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Silver Foxes fell  3-1 to the Tigers. The Silver Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Jefferson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made El Paso work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 21-25, 25-16,  25-21.
 Samantha Sheehan paced Jefferson's offense, picking up ten kills. Sheehan got some help from  Jayme Rojas and her 27 assists. Finally,  Valerie Ukanwa kept Jefferson's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.
 El Paso's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Isabella Del Val, who  had eight  digs and three  aces. That's the most  aces  Del Val has posted  over her last five  contests.  Gaby Lara was another key player,  getting 28  digs and one  assist.
Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for El Paso, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 23-13 record  this season.
 Jefferson and El Paso will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  matches. The next time the Silver Foxes see the court they'll take on Canutillo  at 6:40  p.m.  on  the 21st. As for El Paso, their break will end when they face Burges  at 6:40  p.m.  on  the 21st.
