Softball Game Preview: Pampa Harvesters vs. Greenwood Rangers

For the second straight game, Pampa will face off against Greenwood. The Harvesters will take on the Rangers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.

Pampa heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Thursday. They came up short against Greenwood, falling 15-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Harvesters have suffered since March 25th.

For Greenwood's part, Addison Arredondo made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Arredondo was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Greenwood got a massive performance out of Farrah Fortner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Fortner has posted since back in February. Brylee Savage was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and six RBI.

The win got Greenwood back to even at 15-15-1. As for Pampa, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-9.

Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Pampa hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .426. However, it's not like Greenwood struggles in that department as they've averaged .332. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
