Softball Recap: Myrtle Beach's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Myrtle Beach had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Waccamaw Warriors on Tuesday, sneaking past 12-11. This was payback for the Seahawks, who suffered a 5-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Shianne Needle, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Madalyn Thompson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Myrtle Beach's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Myrtle Beach will head out on the road to challenge St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waccamaw, they have already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Manning on the 13th.
