Basketball Recap: Rio Linda Comes Up Short

Rio Linda was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Roseville Tigers, falling 68-47. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

Ren Marsh continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Roseville, going 7 for 12 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Marsh's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Oreste Yong, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Rio Linda's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Roseville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Rio Linda will take on Pioneer in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Monday at. As for Roseville, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 73-45 victory against Ponderosa on the 12th.
