Everything went the Golden Eagles' way against Greenon on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Xaiden Sharpe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Madison Plains got a massive performance out of Ben Rolfe, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Rolfe a new career-high. Brandon Scheiderer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Madison Plains always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greenon only posted an OBP of .375.
Meanwhile, Fairbanks lost 13-5 to Benjamin Logan on Thursday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Carson Reames made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. He has become a key player for Fairbanks: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-5 otherwise. Nolan Baker also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Madison Plains pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Fairbanks, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Madison Plains' speedy runners might be the difference in Friday's contest. The Golden Eagles have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7.5 stolen bases per game.
