Baseball Recap: Chavez Takes a Loss

Chavez lost to Monroe on Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Vikings, falling 7-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Chavez saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Salas, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Chavez's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Monroe, their win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2.

Chavez didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Vaughn on the 4th. As for Monroe, they have also already played their next game, a 15-1 victory against Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences on the 4th.
