            Softball Recap: Franklin Yellowjackets vs. Edison Vikings        
        
		
        
        
            Franklin extended their losing streak  to seven  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-8 in the process. They lost  20-2 to the Edison Vikings. The Yellowjackets were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting  back in May of 2024.
  Jaslene Moore made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI and one  double.
As for Edison, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-12 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.0 runs over those games.
On Edison's side,  Haylie -Nichole Berdot made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Berdot was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with three  runs and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Leila Tatupu was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, four  runs,  and five  RBI while going 5-for-5. Those  home runs marked the first that  she has  launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Angeleya Miranda, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Franklin has already played their next contest,  a  10-0  loss against Tokay on the 17th. As for Edison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  game,  a  19-7  win against McNair on the 17th.
