Primero hadn't done well against Hanover recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Primero Bulldogs breezed by the Hanover Hornets to the tune of 53-14. With the Bulldogs ahead 39-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Primero found their leader in freshman Alyvia Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Robinson also brought in his first three-point shooting accuracy of the season. Another player making a difference was Shyla Cordova, who posted nine points and three steals.

Primero smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in seven consecutive contests.

Primero's record is now 8-10. As for Hanover, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-16.

Coming up, Primero will face off against Des Moines at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hanover, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Miami-Yoder at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Miami-Yoder's defense has only allowed 26.2 points per game this season, so Hanover's offense will have their work cut out for them.
