Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Missouri Valley Big Reds. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Big Reds when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jefferson's offense was headlined by Alivia Kerkman and Makayla Martin, who picked up two kills apiece. They got some help from Teygan Rasmussen and her two assists.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Missouri Valley, with the win, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 18-9.

Jefferson has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Sergeant Bluff-Luton on the 7th. Missouri Valley has also already played their next matchup (against Underwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
