Softball Recap: Moody Starts Season with Victory Against Thompson

Moody had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Thompson Warriors a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 13-0 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Moody's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Zoey Terry, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one double. Another was Emma Kile, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, Moody will head out to face off against West Blocton at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thompson, they will take on Bibb County in a tournament on Thursday.
