Baseball Recap: Shannon Takes a Loss

Shannon fell victim to Amory and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 17-0 to the Panthers. The Red Raiders haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Shannon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Amory, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Shannon will challenge Tishomingo County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Amory, they will square off against West Union at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Amory's pitchers better be ready for this one: West Union has averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
