Garces Memorial is 2-8 against Centennial since March of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Garces Memorial will head out on the road to square off against Centennial at 4:00 p.m. Garces Memorial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Last Friday, Garces Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Taft and fell 9-7.

Garces Memorial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Williams, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Williams launched this season. Another was Dominic Banducci, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Centennial made sure to put some runs up on the board against Tulare Western on Saturday. Centennial was the clear victor by a 15-1 margin over Tulare Western. The game was the first time the Golden Hawks have beaten the Mustangs on their field since April 12, 2022.

Garces Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Garces Memorial came out on top in a nail-biter against Centennial in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garces Memorial since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
