Volleyball Recap: Bridgeport Comes Up Short

Bridgeport lost against Shadyside back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Tigers, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-15.

It was another big night for Ali Weatherson, who had five digs and four aces for Shadyside. Weatherson is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 14 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ava Mercer, who had five aces and four digs.

Bridgeport's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Shadyside, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10.

Bridgeport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Frontier on the 18th. As for Shadyside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Shenandoah on the 18th.
