Softball Game Preview: Twin Falls Bruins vs. Burley Bobcats

Twin Falls has gone 9-1 against Burley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bruins will host the Bobcats at 3:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Monday, Twin Falls made easy work of Minico and carried off a 14-5 win. Considering the Bruins have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Braylin Iverson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hadley Fowler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Twin Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are 4-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Burley). They walked away with a 15-12 victory over Wood River on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

Twin Falls' win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Burley, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Everything went Twin Falls' way against Burley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Twin Falls made off with a 12-1 win. Do the Bruins have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
