Baseball Recap: Santa Teresa Takes a Loss

Christopher hit Santa Teresa with a five-run third inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Saints came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Saints in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

Santa Teresa got a good showing from Micah DeLap, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the fewest earned runs DeLap has allowed since back in April.

Santa Teresa's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Christopher, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cougars beat Santa Teresa by a score of 2-1 on Friday.
