Volleyball Recap: Flagler Comes Up Short

Flagler and Prairie squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Flagler had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Mustangs. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in November of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Flagler was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-12, 25-23.

Rylie Berry paced Flagler's offense, picking up ten kills. Berry got some help from Lexi Witt and her eight assists.

Leading Prairie to victory were Nicole Ludgate and Hannah Kugler. Ludgate had six digs and six aces, while Kugler had 13 digs and 11 kills. Ludgate has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 28 times she's played.

Flagler's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Prairie, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 18-6.

Flagler does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prairie, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Hi-Plains on the 13th.
