Basketball Recap: Delaware County Christian Picks Up Seventh Consecutive Win

Delaware County Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-65 victory over the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles. The win almost wasn't to be: the Knights were down 35-13 in the second quarter.

Delaware County Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Khamai Orange, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. Orange's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Bradford Berwick was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds.

Delaware County Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Delaware County Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Nazareth Area, they moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Delaware County Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-41 defeat against Whitehall on the 28th. As for Nazareth Area, they will host Northampton at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Nazareth Area has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 181 points over their last three contests.
