Basketball Game Preview: Hall Red Devils vs. Sandwich Indians

The Hall Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the Sandwich Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Hall has struggled recently with eight defeats in a row, while Sandwich will arrive with five straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Hall ended up a good deal behind Newman Central Catholic and lost 65-51.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sandwich). They blew past Marengo 74-47 on Wednesday. Given Sandwich's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Marengo is ranked 663rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sandwich pushed their record up to 19-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 11-16.
