Baseball Recap: Clinton Comes Up Short

Clinton lost against South Beloit back in May of 2015, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sobos.

Logan Thill was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. He has become a key player for Clinton: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-14 otherwise. Cole Williams also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Clinton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for South Beloit, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-7.

Coming up, Clinton will face off against Edgerton at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Beloit, they will take on East Dubuque at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
