Baseball Recap: Patrick Henry Triumphs

While Patrick Henry put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Coronado. The Patriots came out on top in a nail-biter against the Islanders, sneaking past 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Islanders: they've now won four in a row.

Brady Gunn led a balanced Patriots bullpen and struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts Gunn has posted since back in March.

On the hitting side, Patrick Henry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Mestman, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Mestman has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Patrick Henry's record is now 18-7. As for Coronado, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
